“ON THE NIGHT OF FRIVOLITIES”

Yester-night came the day our hearts will never forgive
With memories, we hope will but a while linger
‘Twas the night our conscience slipped into grave slumber
And to the innermost desires of our lust we did cleave

‘Twas the night we lived our untold ecstatic fantasies
That had wandered our head both day and night
That same world of pervert freedom and crooked delight
Freedom from all that made our kind humans

‘Twas the night the demons in us were set loose
Like the escape of starving lions from hades’ cage
We gobbled from fun to lust; relishing in wild pillage
Till that night became dawn, then paid we the price

Aye! A troubling remorse; for it was the night
We desired fun but diced with death.
